The Importance of Seat Depth for Petite Users

The 2-Inch Rule: To prevent leg numbness and sciatica, there should be a 2-inch gap between the front of the seat and the back of your knees.

For smaller individuals, a standard 18-inch seat depth is a primary cause of back pain. It forces the user to "perch" on the edge of the chair, leaving the lumbar spine unsupported.
