An Executive Chair Configured for More Room and Thigh Support

The ergoCentric airCentric 2 Executive Chair with Headrest is a cushioned ergonomic office chair with an included adjustable headrest and a choice of Multi Tilt or Synchro Glide mechanisms. Its default configuration pairs a 20-inch-wide by 21-inch-deep Extra Long seat with a 140 mm pneumatic lift for additional thigh support and seat height.

Wider seat options let you configure the chair for a fuller body type. The chair supports up to 350 lbs and is configured to order, with typical shipping in 2-3 weeks, plus transit time.

  • Adjustable headrest included
  • Default 20 × 21-inch Extra Long seat
  • 140 mm pneumatic lift
  • Wider seat options
  • 350 lb capacity
  • 12-year warranty

HPS Fit Guidance for Taller and Fuller Body Types

This listing emphasizes configurations for taller users and customers who need a longer or wider seat. The Extra Long seat provides additional thigh support, while the 22-inch-wide options provide more sitting room.

The airCentric 2 family can accommodate users approximately 5 ft 5 in to 6 ft 5 in with the appropriate seat size and pneumatic lift. Choose this listing's default tall configuration according to your leg length, torso proportions and workstation height.

When seated against the backrest, leave comfortable clearance behind your knees. Check headrest placement, arm spacing and lumbar position as well as seat dimensions.

If the chair must be raised for comfortable keyboard access and your feet become unsupported, use a separate under-desk footrest.

Choose Your Seat Size

Seat option Width by depth Fit consideration
Extra Long, default 20 by 21 inches Additional depth for users with longer thighs
Plus Size 22 by 19 inches More width with a shorter seat depth
Extra Deep 22 by 21 inches Additional width and depth

A taller user does not automatically need a wider seat. A fuller body type does not automatically require a deeper seat. Choose width and depth separately according to your proportions.

Both mechanisms provide 2.5 inches of seat-depth adjustment to refine your sitting position. Larger seat dimensions do not increase the chair's 350 lb weight capacity.

Included Adjustable Headrest

Rear close-up of the ergoCentric airCentric 2 adjustable headrest and pivoting support brackets.
Adjustable headrest included in this Executive listing's starting price.

The included ergoCentric headrest can be repositioned while seated. Push or pull it to adjust its position, then use its pivot points to place the support comfortably around your head and neck.

Features

  • Three pivot points.
  • Seven inches of vertical and horizontal adjustment.
  • Durable support brackets and pivot mechanisms for flexible positioning.

Support When You Lean Back

The headrest provides a resting surface for your head and neck when reclining. Its range of adjustment helps accommodate different torso lengths and sitting preferences.

Position it so it meets your head comfortably without pushing it forward. Check headrest placement together with backrest height and recline angle.

Choose Your Mechanism

Multi Tilt

Choose Multi Tilt for independent seat positioning and the option of forward seat tilt.

  • Independent back-angle adjustment.
  • Infinite locking and free-float seat tilt.
  • Adjustable tilt tension.
  • Forward seat tilt with lockout.
  • 2.5 inches of seat-depth adjustment.

Synchro Glide

Choose Synchro Glide for coordinated reclining movement. The back moves approximately two degrees for each degree of seat movement.

  • Synchronized 2:1 back-to-seat movement.
  • Free float and seat tilt lockout.
  • Independent back-angle adjustment.
  • Adjustable tilt tension.
  • 2.5 inches of seat-depth adjustment.

Both mechanisms include pneumatic seat-height adjustment. Contact HPS if you need help choosing the mechanism for your working position and reclining preference.

Tall Pneumatic Lift and Seat Height

The default configuration includes a 140 mm pneumatic lift, with a confirmed seat-height range of 18¾ inches to 24 inches for HPS's specified Executive configuration.

Choose a height that allows comfortable access to your workstation. If you change the pneumatic lift or mechanism, contact HPS to confirm the seat-height range for the revised configuration.

Ventilated Backrest with Cushioned Support

The front-upholstered, dual-curve backrest measures 19 inches wide by 24 inches high. Its 5-inch height adjustment helps position support around your torso.

Ventilation openings in the back construction allow airflow through the cushioned support. Upholstery affects breathability and feel; consider Air Knit if airflow is a priority.
